Today is A day

Its Black History Month! This month the Diversity Book Club will be reading Miracle's Boys by Jacqueline Woodson. Start reading!

All students participating on the Battle of the Books team should turn it their completed team form to Mrs Shelton in the atrium or Mrs Otto in the library ASAP. Our first meeting is Tuesday, February 12 after school in the DW library.

Activities and Clubs after school today:
7th and 8th Math Team in 115
Minecraft in 100A
Jazz Band in 125
Yearbook in 100A

Athletics after school today:
7th Grade Girls Volleyball has games at West Oak. A team plays first game, B team plays after A.
8th Grade Girls Volleyball has home games. A team plays first game, B teams plays after A.

6th Grade Math Team will not meet today after school due to Outdoor Education.

Robotics after school on Wednesday will be cancelled due to Outdoor Ed.

Team pictures for Girls Volleyball and Wrestling have been rescheduled to February 13th at 3:40 p.m.

Scholastic Bowl tryouts for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade are today after school in room 203. Please see Mrs. Schultz in room 203 prior to tryouts for a participation form. Students going to Outdoor Ed on Monday will be able to try out Thursday after school in room 203.

From the DW Library: Books to Movies Trivia Contest:
Answer to Friday's question....The novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was published in 1964 and is probably British Author Roald Dahl's best-known story! Congratulations to the 12 advisories who correctly answered and have earned a point.
Question #2: This book was adapted to the screen in 2014, and it is the first in a series of five books. The last of the series is titled The Fever Code. Email your advisory's answer now to Mrs. Otto and/or Mrs. Walker now!

Stuart Rogers photographers will be here on Tuesday, February 12th, to take group pictures of students in our co-curricular activities and clubs. Your club sponsors will give you picture order forms. Order forms and schedules will be posted on our website.
