Each year Half Day does a deep dive into what it means to be a HAWK – Honest, Accepting, Willing, and Kind-Hearted.

The Half Day Green Team is off to a great start, planting colorful perennial flower bulbs around the school to brighten the grounds and support pollinators.

Third-graders explored the science behind natural disasters through an exciting STEM challenge—designing flood-proof structures. The project began with students analyzing the problem of flooding and discussing how engineers protect buildings in flood-prone areas. Working in small teams, students brainstormed possible solutions and formulated their ideas.

For Hispanic Heritage Month, students at Half Day learned about the history and origins of Talavera, painted pottery.
